Comic Catch up

I don't know how many of you know this, but I like to read comic books occasionally. I'm know comic wizard, but I know the difference between my spider mans and my batmans. So here is what I've been reading recently:

Scott Pilgrim: The 6 volume that inspired the recent movie is really unlike everything I've read. The blending of video game nerdiness, relationship issues that hit home for me, and an absolutely charming tale create something completely unique and totally awesome.

Green Lantern: Rebirth: This is the first Green Lantern book I've read (I know who Hal Jordan is though, relax) and it is simply epic. With excellent writing and artwork that can only be described as powerful, this miniseries is basically badass. If you have a vaugue idea of what a Green Lantern is, read this NOW.

Well, that's what i'm into right now. What about you?

P.S My favorite graphic novels are Watchmen, Superman: Red Son, and Batman: The Killing Joke

WAAAAH SUPER POST

First of all, I am soooo sorry that I have not been posting very frequently, as college is keeping me rather busy.

First day of class made me realize how freakin' short my summer was. It also made me realize that I was also that kid who was excited for the first day of school, so the first part isn't that big of a deal. Me and the roomies are all moved in, and haven't killed each other yet, so things are going well. My roommate (to keep his identity safe, I will refer to him as M. Tran or Matt T) is a butthole who pressures me to finish writing certain things for certain blogs, but I can live with him because he is also made of win. just pure win.

Basically, things are looking good.

Back to UD

Wow, being back at UD suddenly sucked up a lot of time, so i'm sorry if anyone was really dying for a post!

It feels so good to be back here. Summer was nice, but it was really just time to get back here. It feels amazing to see all my old friends again along with some wonderful and badass new freshmen.

The Pride of Dayton also got a new director, a certain Professor TK. So far, I think the energy he brings out in the band both on and off the field is amazing and a can't wait to see what he can really do!

God it's good to be home!

The End of Summer

The End of Summer

For most of my life, the phrase sucked. A lot. Most of you who went to high can guess why.

It wasn't until last year that this phrase brought a sense of excitement along with the dread because of the "I'm going to college!" combined with the "Oh fuck i'm going to college"

Now, going into my second year, The End of Summer holds less wonder, but much more excitement. Knowing 100% that what will happen once summer ends is awesome is a pretty sweet feeling that I would trade mysterious "OH SHIT" feelings for any day.

Hawaii Part 2

As a kid, vacation was always a time to go do as much cool stuff possible. I craved any sort of awesome diversion and strived to keep my vacations at a break neck speed. I never understood why my parents would just sit on the beach and do nothing.

However, Maui taught that I need to slooooooooooooooow dooooooooooown. Maui was the first time I ever brought a book to the beach. And it was sooooo good.

Hawaii taught me many things, be it most importantly taught me to relax.

Too bad i'm not on vacation now
